Join our halau and learn to dance hula. Both ancient form of hula (KAHIKO) and modern hula (AUANA) are taught.
Classes are Monday - Thursday & Saturday. All ages, girls, boys, men & women.

WHAT TO EXPECT
- Classes begin with Hula Basics - Drills, repetitive hula steps for approximately 1/2 hr.
- Beginning class consists of Basics, breakdown of dances at a much slower pace. Both forms of hula are taught: Kahiko and Auana.
- Intermediate/Advance class consists of: Basics, Kahiko, Auana, Oli, and at a much faster pace. Difficult movements.
- All students will learn to greet each other in Hawaiian language.
Kamaliʻi | Ages 3 – 5
This papa is to introduce toddlers ages 3 - 5 to hula. Of course, our hope is that they grow to love it just as much as we do. This papa will help prepare the haumāna to move forward in skill and will help promote and perpetuate a keikiʻs desire for hula through dance, language, activities, and performances.
Keiki | Ages 6 – 12
This papa is for kaikamahine ages 6 – 12 and will delve deeper into hula through several different vessels of the Hawaiian culture. This papa is tailored to strengthen basic hand and foot movement and style of the hālau. Haumāna will also learn more about the Hawaiian language and preservation of culture. They may also be asked to participate in performances.
Adv. Kaikamahine | Ages 6 – 12
This advanced papa hula is for keiki ages 6 – 12 and is by invitation only. Haumāna of this papa will be held to higher expectations and experience more intense training through hula, oli and language. Strenuous physical, mental, emotional and spiritual training is part of their experience. Additionally, at this level haumāna will learn more about culture and legacy preservation. Haumāna are expected to participate in a variety of hōʻike & workshops, including national hula competitions, throughout the year.
Wahine | Ages 13 +
This papa is for wahine ages 13+ and will delve deeper into hula through several different vessels of the Hawaiian culture. This papa is tailored to strengthen basic hand and foot movement and style of the hālau. Haumāna will also learn more about the Hawaiian language and preservation of culture. They may also be asked to participate in performances.
Adv. Wahine | Ages 13+

Kāne | 13 & older
This papa is for kāne ages 13+ and will delve deeper into hula through several different vessels of the Hawaiian culture. This papa is tailored to strengthen basic hand and foot movement and style of the hālau with an emphasis on kāne hula. Haumāna will also learn more about the Hawaiian language and preservation of culture. They may also be asked to participate in performances. Gracious | 35 & older
This papa is for the gracious ages 35+ of all experience, will delve deeper into hula through several different vessels of the Hawaiian culture. This papa is tailored to strengthen basic hand and foot movement and style of the hālau. Haumāna will also learn more about the Hawaiian language and preservation of culture. They may also be asked to participate in performances. By invitation, advanced, mature wahine are expected to participate in a variety of hōʻike & workshops, including national hula competitions, throughout the year. The continuity of perpetuating the Hawaiian culture heavily relies on the pass of ʻike, haumāna of this papa hula may be asked to assist Kumu in other papa hula.
