Nā Kumu Hula Kawika & Leinani Viloria of Diamond Bar, California, opened Hālau Hula a Kawika lāua ʻo Leinani in 1995. Kawika & Leinani were blessed to be taken under the wings and direction of their late Kumu, Charles Kaʻupu. 

The bones and foundation of our hālau, is ʻohana.

Soon after we had our first child, we began teaching hula. It was important to us that when started a family of our own, our children continue to be immersed in their Hawaiian culture. We understood the kuleana that comes with perpetuating the Hawaiian culture so far from home. It is our hopes, that when you come to hula with us, you feel a sense of the aloha spirit that our culture prides itself on.

It is because we pride ourselves in building a strong foundation with our haumāna, that everyone becomes ʻohana.

At this time Hālau Hula a Kawika lāua ʻo Leinani offers a wide variety of classes for all ages, from keiki to kūpuna! Hula for the entire ʻohana!
